It has almost been a week since our meeting together. I do hope that each of you have been able to go in and do the questionnaire on page 240 and identify your darkside. Truly, I hate that they call it that...whatever - Personally, by labeling my traits I have made many a discovery as I function in ministry and home day to day.

None of this will make sense until you find your darkside. It's almost like a darth vader saga! I don't know, is that good or bad. It will be up to us and what we decide to do with what the Lord reveals to us as we seek Him in this book.

Now that I have read it, I believe it is revoluntionary for the fact that I am able to recognize certain behaviors and how I can better use them to become a more effective leader. We can go into more detail as the days unfold.

I would like to encourage you all to join us on the blog regularly. This may prove to be a very fun and exciting journey as we see God do divine surgery. He is, I repeat, He is preparing us. And His ideas for how I should be living are always greater than my own.

God Bless you, girls!

  1. Hey Lisa, I'm still trying to finish that book, I'll be teaching from, I have the prologue to read then I'm done, then I'll start the book you gave me, I'm excited to see what type of leader I am, so God can use me and equip me in a better way. The Lord is moving in such awesome way's it's scary and exciting all at the same time! I can't wait to see what God has in store for us this year.

  3. Hello Ladies and Lisa,
I did the leadership style test and found out I was a compulsive leader, which is true as some of you found at the day at the conference, Olga!' and anyone else,my mom for sure. The Lord blessed it though because the Holy Spirit was so involved that Olga glowed as she allowed the the Spirit to speak through her at the closing of the conference, which was not planned. A women got saved as Olga gave an invitation. I noticed too that a lot of questions I answered differently than I would have 8 years ago. Lord knows I still have a long way to go.

  4. As I've completed the questions, discovered my darkside, and have been reading through the chapters I'm continually reminded how easily our strengths (our light side) can ensnare us and become weaknesses. Exodus 20:21 reads that "Moses approached the thick darkness where God was." It is only by passing into and through the cloud that Moses was able to see the radiant glory of God on the other side. As I read through this section of scripture thinking about our book, I get an image in my mind of breaking through the clouds when you're in an airplane. Have you ever been flying through or under the clouds and as you break through to the top and above them, and seen the sun shining gloriously all around and the darkness is no more? What a metaphor for what God will do in each of the hearts as he removes the veil of darkness!
